Runes

Runes...we look at them, we don't understand them, we think Lord of the Rings and bespectacled teenagers with dirty t-shirts, smelly armpits and legions of diecast painted armies. We imagine druids with incredible powers enabling them to lift and place incredibly heavy pieces of stone in astrologically pleasing ways. We're fascinated, not appalled exactly but at the least slightly distrustful in the same way as we are when we like the words of a politician but know that really we are being led in a singular direction that will probably lead to higher taxes and, at the very least, the re-election of someone equally self-centered in the future.
